[VIDEO] Common Video Marketing Mistakes
If you’re planning a video marketing campaign, be careful not to make these common mistakes!
I see video marketers making mistakes all the time so I wanted to go over some of the biggest ones that are easy to avoid.
Number one is cut to the chase. A long-winded intro that takes forever to get to the point of your video is a surefire way to lose viewers.
You also don’t want to overwhelm people with too much information. Stick to a topic and nail it.
The next pitfall is trying to do too much yourself. Don’t try to film a major brand video on your iPhone and don’t spend hours upon hours messing around with iMovie trying to edit. Bringing in a professional will not only get you a much better result, but it will save you a ton of time and headache.
And the last one for now is only shooting one video at a time. I’ve made videos about this in the past but I’ll say it again – if you’re investing the time and money to set up a video production and going through all of the planning, execution, and distribution steps, but only doing one video, you’re not making the best use of your resources. Each shoot and distribution strategy should include plans for multiple pieces of content so you can maximize those efforts and see the greatest return on your investment in video.
